Align Partition

Nowadays 4K hard drive is the trend of development. When you buy a new hard drive, usually you will find it is 4K aligned. However, during the process of using a 4K hard drive, you may also need to do 4K disk management to get a best disk performance, such as create a new 4K partition, extend partition, recover lost partitions and more. When you format hard disk partition with Win7 system, hard disk sector is aligned to the integer times of 2048 sectors by default, namely 512B. 2048 = 1048576B = 1024KB. This is also called 1M alignment. And it meets 4K alignment. As long as the value is the integer times of 4096B, it is 4K Aligned.

Apart from Align All Partition, MiniTool Partition Wizard still offers an 'Align Partition' option to help align a specified partition in case where you don't want to align all partitions.

Still three approaches to activate 'Align Partition' function:
1. Right click the specified partition and select 'Align' from the drop-down menu;
2. Select the specified partition and click 'Align Partition' from Action Panel in the left;
3. Select the specified partition, click 'Partition' on the top toolbar and click 'Align' from the drop-down menu.
Click 'Apply' to execute pending operation and finish partition alignment.
