To take a screenshot of everything shown on your Mac’s screen, choose the leftmost icon labeled Capture Entire Screen, then click the Capture button on the rightmost side. TIP: Capture the whole screen quickly with the old shortcut Command (⌘)-Shift (⇧)-3. Capturing a screen portion. The macOS Screen Recording dialog box may appear hidden behind the Preview window and your active XD document. From Security & Privacy, select Privacy. To enable screen recording for XD, click Screen Recording from the left pane, and select Adobe XD.

- Take pictures or screen recordings using Screenshot On your Mac, press Shift-Command-5 (or use Launchpad) to open Screenshot and display the tools. Click a tool to use to select what you want to capture or record (or use the Touch Bar).
- To save your Mac screenshot to the clipboard instead of to a file on your desktop, the magic key is Control (displayed on some older Mac keyboards as ⌃). You simply take an existing screenshot keyboard shortcut and add Control to the mix. For example, the keyboard shortcut to capture then entire screen is Shift (⇧) + Command (⌘) + 3.
