A final word: If and when Perian stops working, try looking into VLC or MPlayer OS X. Sure, they're not Perian, but they offer great software still under development. Vlc Player For Mac Os X Yosemite Download
i tried to re-download and reinstall a lot of times. even after my upgrade to yosemite, nothing changed (as i hope).i am really afraid about, because i love VLC. tried other softwares, working fine. but i like vlc.
the only way to let start VLC is: click with right button, select 'show package content', then going to contentsMacOS and open the VLC executable file by a double click. that way opens a Terminal Window and VLC.
the application works fine, opening and playing everything. but to exit app the only way is to force exit, no other way.
can someone help me to restore the normal (easy) way of use of VLC, i guess would be a string to type on terminal... to make a miracle!
thank you all to anyone is reading till the end my post and to anyone could help me.
i apologize my bad english, i hope to be understandable just enough...
